Revenge of the Carnival Corndog
Sunday the band did a show up in Hannibal, MO for Tom Sawyer Days. I ate a decent breakfast and lunch, but just for kicks, I thought I'd buy a corndog, just to hold me over for the night. The corndog was okay, but during the second set, my chest tightened up and I could not breathe. On our break, I decided to see if some funnel cake would settle my stomach. What was I thinking? I felt sick for the rest of the night. I felt sick all day Monday and all day Tuesday. I thought there was a correlation between me quitting the Effexor cold turkey and me feeling like hell on a stick, but now I am starting to think the corndog made me ill. "They" say that it takes 24-48 hours for food poisoning to set in. I woke up yesterday throwing up, so that would be about right. Even worse, I had to get my first cavity filled yesterday. The dentist numbed me, then, just as she was about to start drilling, I was like, "I'll be right back." The dentist was like, "You don't look so good." I went to the restroom and threw up. Poor dentist. I got back into the chair. The dentist asked if I would like to re-schedule, but I was like, "No. I'm already numb. Drill away!" I don't embarass easily. Hey, at least I made it to the toilet. I stayed in bed and slept the rest of the day. Late afternoon, I was finally able to keep food down. I still don't feel one-hundred percent, yet. The moral of the story is this: I am bringing my own lunch to carnival gigs from now on.
I started taking my wonder-drug again, as well. Apparently, I need a twelve-step program or a methadone clinic to come off of this stuff. So, for the time being, gimmee an "E!"
The cool thing is, I saw what my teeth are going to look like with veneers. I only have to get two veneers for my front teeth after all. I will have bionic chompers! I just want a pretty smile. It's an entertainment industry-thing, eh? It is easier to make a gap in my teeth for a certain character than vice-versa.
I ordered some new wigs and some foam heads. I am very excited!
