Don't Dream It, Be It

Although borrowed from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show", these are words for me to live by. Someone asked me, "Aren't you a little old to have such big dreams?" to which I replied, "Am I too old to be alive?"

Happy Birthday!

First off, Happy Birthday Rich Ellington! I think I might be able to find some incriminating tour pictures of you...Ah yes! I will dig up the one of you in Saudi on New Year's Y2K, with your feather hat on...

Secondly, Happy Birthday to Me!
Doug did not forget my birthday (unlike last year). He did something very romantic and scored many points today in my book of Romantic Boyfriend Points.

He picked me up from work to take me to lunch. We got to the restaurant and he said, "We can just sit down." I was like, "But..." We walked over to the table and my drink was there for me along with a beautiful antique amberlina vase with two long-stemmed roses in it. Then I saw my other present from him and a card. I could tell the present was a framed record of some sort. I opened it and it was Queen's "A Night at the Opera." The album and jacket itself is in pretty good condition. It is not an easy album to find an original copy of. I have to say that this is one of the best birthdays yet, despite me working today and the rain. My friend and co-worker Pam brought in a strawberry shortcake for me, as well. It is just about gone!

I feel very blessed to have a wonderful boyfriend, friends, co-workers, family, and of course, my awesome cat Merlin.

Now, I think I will go home and make a special birthday "Dirty Stoli" martini when I get home from work.
